DescriptionMobilux™ EP 0, 1, 2, 3, 004 and 023 products are a high performance family of five general-purpose industrial greases and twospecial-duty semi-fluid greases. Mobilux EP 0, 1, 2 and 3 greases are recommended for most types of industrial applications including heavy-duty applicationswhere high unit pressures or shock loads are present. These greases provide excellent protection against rust and corrosionand resist water wash-out which makes them particularly suitable for equipment where moist or wet conditions are common.Mobilux EP 0 and 1 are suitable for centralised systems. Mobilux EP 2 and 3 are general-purpose greases. The recommendedoperating temperature range is from -20ºC to 130ºC but they may be used at higher temperatures if the lubrication frequency isincreased accordingly.

Mobilux EP 004 and Mobilux EP 023 are particularly suitable for the lubrication of enclosed gears and bearings in poorly sealedgear cases they can also be used in many other industrial applications where conventional gear oils cannot be retained in gearcases, chain cases, etc. because of leakage due to worn or missing seals. The recommended operating temperature range is-25 to 120ºC for Mobilux EP 004 and -15 to 120ºC for Mobilux EP 023.

Castrol Longtime™ PD range are lithium based greases containing highly refined mineral oils and fortified with the   Microflux Trans (MFT) additive system. The MFT additive technology provides optimum wear protection and an extremely low coefficient of friction even under extremes of pressure, vibration, shock loads, at high or low speeds or varying micro- smoothing of the friction surfaces. Under severe load, components of the MFT additive combination are activated and  diffuse into the surfaces initiating an improvement of their friction characteristics through plastic deformation. The organic reaction products become a component of the tribopolymer system. Unlike the case with conventional lubricants, the tribopolymers formed by MFT are long-chained compounds with excellent lubricity and adhesion. The load carrying area is improved, a hydrodynamic lubrication film is easier to maintain. This unique physio-chemical reaction achieves a non- sacrificial micro-smoothing of the friction surfaces.

Application:
Longtime PD can be used for long term or lifetime lubrication even under the most difficult operating conditions such as extreme pressure, vibrations, shock loads and a wide temperature range in highly loaded rolling and sliding bearings.    They can also be used in bearings of spinning and grinding spindles, for gear motors exposed to shock loads, in screening/wood shaping machines and for bearing surfaces of printing plates. These greases are also suitable for bearings with a rotating outer ring and undergoing high stresses due to centrifugal load, e.g. in spreader rolls, roll neck bearings in steel mills, and for bearings with changing rotational directions or slewing movements. They are also used in curved teeth couplings and centralised lubricating systems. Longtime PD 0 and PD 00 can be used as a semi-fluid      grease lubricant in gears such as flange, drum-type and worm gears. It is also suitable for use in gears without oil-tight enclosures, gear wheels and rolling bearings with a grease reservoir.

Lubricants for the steel industry:
The demand for lubricants used is also increasing with the requirements for the technical equipment in the steel industry. The targeted use of BECHEM high performance lubricants can reduce costs, protect the environment and maximize machine life.

The steel making process is characterized by difficult tribological framework conditions, such as process tem-peratures, corrosive coolants, abrasive dusts or large shock loads.

BECHEM lubricants offer sophisticated solutions for a trouble-free production process. They make a great contribution to protecting surfaces from tribocorrosion and to minimizing foreign particle entry.

BECHEM has developed lubricants with outstanding water and temperature resistance as well as exceptional corrosion protection for high performance operation in the steel industry. Sintering plant:
The   conveyors   transport   the   moist   sinter   from   the   mixing  drum  to  the  sintering  plant  where  the  sinter  mix  is  baked  and  crushed.  Individual  grate  cars  form  the  sintering  belt,  which  has  to  withstand  the  effects  of  heat  and  dust.  In  order  to  ensure  optimal  function  under  these  conditions,  the  recommended  lubricant  for  the  bearings  of  the  grate  car  is  Berutox  FH  28  KN,  for  the slide rails Beruplex CS 2 EP and Berutox M 21 KN, and BECHEM  High-Lub  FA  50  MO  for  the  heavy  duty  bearings. BECHEM lubrication greases for high loads offer an excellent wear protection as well as very good water resistance and EP properties.

Coke oven:
Coke  is  produced  from  coal  in  the  coke  ovens  at  tem-peratures  of  1200  to  1400  °C.  The  hot  coke  is  pressed  into  the  quenching  car  in  a  pressing  process.  The  lubrication of the rack of the compression machine with Berulit  GA  series  products  ensures  a  reliable  wear  pro- tection and an extension of the service life. Coke oven gas fittings  are  preferably  lubricated  with  Beruplex  CS  2  Fin order to achieve absolute sealing ability.
Blast furnace:The oven is supplied with coke and batched at the upper end of the shaft of the blast furnace, the furnace top, and the  furnace  gases  are  deflected.  The  throat  stopper  as  well as all conveyors are lubricated with highly effective semi-fluid  greases.  They  are  suitable  for  heavily  loaded  roller bearings, toothed and worm gears and are charac-terized by excellent water resistance and corrosion pro-tection.
